How an idea became an obsession...

Hello!  We have finally ventured into the world of blogging and after thinking long and hard about what topic we should enlighten the world with (well really I did), we decided that our love of lighthouses would be the perfect choice.  This blog will simultaneously share with you the lighthouses we have already visited (over twenty!) and new ones that we hope to visit soon.

Our love of lighthouses started after my mom asked me for some ideas of what to get Mike for a birthday present.  We had been using calendar pages to decorate our bedroom wall in our apartment and some of them were of lighthouses.  I asked him, "do you like lighthouses" and he replied "yea, they're pretty cool" (at least this is how it probably went).  Our love, or obsession, didn't happen over night but a few years later we went on a lighthouse tour in Maine and we were officially hooked!
